Perchance to Dream
Whether you’re over in UK land, in Bora Bora, or somewhere in the middle of the USA, if you have any aspirations at all about making money, you’ve likely heard someone tell you that there are certain requirements for achieving financial success.
One such necessity for making, say, a million dollars, is to dream big, in which case a million dollars is pretty much pocket change. Another important key for reaching your financial dreams is to use leverage — especially OPM, which stands for Other People’s Money. The third biggie is passive income. Sounding familiar?
Yet another crucial (and perhaps the most important) requirement is the proper mindset. Some call it the millionaire mindset. Others term it the entrepreneurial mindset. Whatever you call it, it changes how you see your world. An average person will see a sign that says land for sale and think, “Do I want to build a house there?” A savvy person will think, “Is this a wise land investment? What is the development potential for this piece of property.
In fact, mindset isn’t only important for navigating the business world, it’s essential for navigating through life. Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am.” Saul of Tarsus, aka Paul, says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” And Shakespeare said,
“To be, or not to be: that is the question:
…To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub.”
