When we were in Florida, the kids were all extremely excited to be going to Disney World for the very first time. I had been there when I was a kid and it had been great. I was hoping that the experience would be as memorable for them as it had been for me. We decided to take a look online while we were at the hotel, to see if we could order the Disney Park tickets in advance before venturing out the next day. We found the website very easy to access and there was a pop-up ad that said click for more info that was advertising a ticket sale for the next day.

When we got to the park, we were informed that we could get Disney World Hopper tickets for only a little bit more money. We weighed the advantages of doing this and decided that it was worth it. It was like Christmas for the kids.

It took me a very long time to save up and buy a Zune.  But from my experience so far, it has been definitely worth the wait.  It is perhaps the best music player on the planet and it is all mine.

But after owning it for a couple of weeks, it was apparent that I would need some accessories with it.  Even though I had purchased a Zune Travel Charger when I bought it, I found that it just didn’t do everything I needed, so I would have to save up some more money.

I decided to look online to see how much money I would need to pay for a Zune Dock Cable and a Zune Car Charger.  I figured that after I had these two accessories, I would have everything that I needed to use my Zune wherever I go.

So, I should have enough money in a couple weeks, and then that will be it.  I will have all of the Zune goodies that I need.

A friend of mine recently got to go see a concert that was sold out almost as soon as the tickets went on sale. She told me that she was able to get tickets before they went on sale to the public because she had a Citi Bank credit card. Apparently being a member has benefits besides savings and loans!  Her Citi presale password got her the ability to buy tickets to the concert early and they didn’t cost any more than when they went on sale to the general public.

How cool is that? If I had the money to get into more concerts, I’d certainly get a Citi card just for that benefit alone. I love a wide variety of music and there are tons of musicians and bands that I’d be happy to see live. I’ve been able to see a few concerts but they have always been the bands that my ex husband or boyfriend wanted to see. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to see them also, but there are artists that I’d like to see that my guy won’t go to. My daughter is getting old enough though so maybe she’ll start going with me.

For those of you who aren’t musical comedy buffs, as I am, the title is a quote from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel.” Carrie Pipperidge, best friend of the female lead Julie, is an airhead. Carrie has upset her fiancé’s sense of dignity by doing something that could have sullied her reputation.

Enoch Snow is a fisherman with aspirations of owning a fishing fleet and is full of himself. Wheedling her way back into his good graces, Carrie pleads, “Oh, Enoch. Say something soft and sweet!” He turns away and solemnly intones, “Boston Cream Pie!” To which Carrie wails, “Oh, Enoch!” and runs off, leaving her fiancé befuddled, but still huffy.

Well, okay, perhaps your eyes are glazing over because musical theatre isn’t your “thing.” Sorry. It has been my passion since I was 14. While classmates of mine were dreaming of selling water softeners or becoming astronauts or running for president, I wanted to be Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand and Shirley Jones. Musical theatre songs and dialogue will live on in my memory as long as the brain cells hold out. May it be long!

I went to a home party a few weeks ago that was selling sexy lingerie. I had never been to one of these before and it was actually a lot of fun. I admit that I was a little bit skeptical at the start, but it was all very tasteful and it was not too long before I started to relax and have a good time.

There were actually a lot of articles of clothing that I was interested in buying. I loved all of the lacy stockings and thought that I should get some because I had never tried them before and I was told that they were really comfortable. I wanted to get some black ones and some red ones.

When I got home, I was really glad that I had put my trepidation aside and went to the party. I fit in well with the people there and anything that was tasteless and impractical and we made them humorous. I had some great new clothes and I made some great new friends.

This afternoon, as I was taking supper to a friend who had just had a baby, I saw a big sign that stated that the circus was coming to town.  As we have never gone, I thought it might be a good idea to take the children, knowing that they would be completely excited to see the elephants and tigers and all of the other acts.

Taking a closer look, I saw that they were selling advance circus tickets at one of the grocery stores near our house.  I decided to buy some and surprise the kids by telling them that we were going for a drive and end up at the circus.

I think it will be a very interesting day for our family and I just hope that my two-year-old does not get scared by some of the larger animals and that she will sit nice and enjoy the show.  I know, that my five-year-old will think that it is amazing and exciting and I can’t wait to see the look on his face.

I am a procrastinator.  I can admit it.  But honestly, procrastination gets me in a lot of trouble, and I have a good example for you of what happened this week.

You see, my wife had her eyes on going to a weekend concert event that wasn’t too far from our hometown.  It was a weekend of country music - something that she loves and I hate.  She instructed me to go buy event tickets for her and my sister so that they could go.

I thought if I could wait until the last minute, I could get her a screaming deal on the tickets.  I know that in the past when I have wanted some good deals on concert tickets, I have done that and everything works out okay.

Well, I was wrong.

As it turned out, the even sold out.  I was lucky enough to find a website that had deals on tickets at the last minute and I was able to get her some.  But if I hadn’t been able to get the tickets, I think I would have been in deep trouble with my wife, which is never good.

I had the opportunity to go see a circus yesterday.  Since I went the first time when I was a child, I have always been fascinated with going to the circus and I make a point of going to it every time that it is in town.

As I sat in anticipation, waiting for the show to start, I thought of all the great shows that I had seen in my lifetime and I just couldn’t wait to watch it this time.  I thought of my favorite performance of all time when the fire jugglers and stiltwalkers put on a show together.  There is just something that is amazing when people are throwing fire back and forth while on stilts.

But as it turned out, my day would end with disappointment.  You see, due to new insurance regulations, they were no longer able to have many of the "riskier" shows that they did in the past.  Sometimes, I often wonder if it will get to the point where there is nothing fun left that can be shown at a circus anymore.

I like to party just as much as anyone else, but sometimes I can find myself a little low on cash.  Hey, we all experience this at different times during the month and it sucks as it can seriously cramp your social life.

But, being short on cash has made me a more resourceful person.  I mean, if I want to go to one of the many Las Vegas clubs and I can’t afford it, it makes me think of "how" I am going to go.  It can be as simple as cleaning the house to find money, or it can be something like looking online for any Las Vegas coupons that I can find.

Needless to say, I have been very resourceful over the last year in terms of making it out every weekend.  Sure, sometimes I eat a lot of spaghetti (it is cheap), but it lets me have the money I need to go out when I want.

In a last minute rush, I am looking online for a costume for tonight’s party.  I know that it is the middle of the week, but I honestly forgot about the costume party that was going on tonight.

Even before stores are open, I am looking online at a costume site.  They do have same-day delivery, so it is really my only choice - though I only have until 9 AM to order - so I have to be quick.

What I am looking for is something that is fun, and not boring or common at all.  I thought of going as a caveman, but honestly, I bet ten people that will be there will be dressed up like them.

Well, I think that I might have found my solution - they have some Jetsons costumes that look interesting.  Maybe I will go with one of those as no one will pick a costume like me.

Alright, I have placed the order - I just hope that it gets here in time.
