Brawl and Fall

The first time that I ever seriously hurt myself was when I was working for a commercial roofing Westerly RI company. I was minding my own business, just doing my job one day when a couple of guys on the ground started fighting. They threw a beer bottle and it hit me, causing me to fall off the roof.

I realize that this never would have happened if I had been following the proper safety precautions, but I was still irritated that it had happened because of a drunken brawl between two men. Of all the reasons for me to fall while working on roofing Westerly RI, I never imagined this scenario.

I learned my lesson and I never work up on a roof without the proper safety straps anymore. I also do not have to worry too much about it anymore, as I now work for a flat roofing Westerly RI company and there is very little chance that I will fall off a flat roof.

Beyond Expectations

When I was finished college and had started working as a medical office assistant, I decided that it was time to meet someone special and get on with my life. I took the plunge and went to some free online dating sites, not really expecting much. I thought that it might be kind of fun, but I certainly did not expect to meet my future husband there.

I went to a site to find local singles and I was a little bit overwhelmed at how many people were registered on it. I was a little bit apprehensive, as I know that many people lie on these sites and you never really quite know what you are getting until you decide to meet in person.

I met Gabe after a few weeks of chatting and we hit it off instantly. I met a few more people after meeting Gabe, but I never really had a connection with them. I am happy to say that we are now married and are expecting our second child this summer.

It Pays to Wait Sometimes

Have you seen the modern marvel of the Apple iPhone? What an interesting bit of new technology but with a price tag to match that many can’t afford.

Many people stood in lines and got on lists in order to be among the first to get one of these little buggers, but I got one free and without too much trouble either and I really only waited a few months into the whole thing. I wanted to know if it was worth the buzz before I decided that I wanted one.

You’ve probably heard commercials on radio or the telly about getting free things and wondered what that was all about, right? Well, some of them are pure rubbish, but then other programs really do deliver.

It helps if you are comfortable and somewhat familiar with the Internet because you do have to do some little bit of promotion in order to qualify for the free products, but it is utterly doable! I know because it worked for me, I have the free iPhone to prove it.

Perchance to Dream

Whether you’re over in UK land, in Bora Bora, or somewhere in the middle of the USA, if you have any aspirations at all about making money, you’ve likely heard someone tell you that there are certain requirements for achieving financial success.

One such necessity for making, say, a million dollars, is to dream big, in which case a million dollars is pretty much pocket change. Another important key for reaching your financial dreams is to use leverage — especially OPM, which stands for Other People’s Money. The third biggie is passive income. Sounding familiar?

Yet another crucial (and perhaps the most important) requirement is the proper mindset. Some call it the millionaire mindset. Others term it the entrepreneurial mindset. Whatever you call it, it changes how you see your world. An average person will see a sign that says land for sale and think, “Do I want to build a house there?” A savvy person will think, “Is this a wise land investment? What is the development potential for this piece of property.

In fact, mindset isn’t only important for navigating the business world, it’s essential for navigating through life. Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am.” Saul of Tarsus, aka Paul, says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” And Shakespeare said,
“To be, or not to be: that is the question:
…To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub.”

Risky Business?

There’s an ongoing discussion at one of my favorite forums that I have been following off and on. I try to keep abreast of things that might come up in my own business when I get to the point that I’m selling my products. That will be happening fairly soon for me, so I’ve been taking notes and rubbing elbows with the major players so when the time comes, they’ll know who I am.

One marketer found himself in a bind when he became the target of credit card fraud. Pending an investigation, his credit card processing provider temporarily suspended his account. The problem was, he had just launched a new product and couldn’t afford that much down time. So he was looking into high risk merchant accounts to tide him over until the investigation was complete.

As you can imagine, this topic has very little gray area, so the tone of the thread has been, shall we say, lively. There are almost an equal number in each camp. In his situation, it’s almost a case of “damned if you do and damned if you don’t.” I’m waiting to see how it plays out for him. I have a gut instinct about it, but I’m keeping my mouth shut. I hate eating my own words.

Learning About the Law of Attraction

I recently have been interested in increasing the wealth and good things in my life.  I know that it won’t happen by chance, but since I have been thinking about it, things have been set in motion in my life to make it a reality.

Not even a week of deciding to change my life, someone suggested that I watch The Secret and learn about how the Law of Attraction could change my life.

Since the moment of hearing about it, things have already changed in my life.  I didn’t have the money to buy the movie, but it just “happened” to be available at the library.  After watching the movie, I decided to put their ideas into motion.

And things started to change in my life.  I not only got a promotion at work, but I also won a new car.  Who knew that a change of my outlook on life would change it.  All I know is that my future life is looking better and better.

Citi Bank Presale Codes

A friend of mine recently got to go see a concert that was sold out almost as soon as the tickets went on sale. She told me that she was able to get tickets before they went on sale to the public because she had a Citi Bank credit card. Apparently being a member has benefits besides savings and loans!  Her Citi presale password got her the ability to buy tickets to the concert early and they didn’t cost any more than when they went on sale to the general public.

How cool is that? If I had the money to get into more concerts, I’d certainly get a Citi card just for that benefit alone. I love a wide variety of music and there are tons of musicians and bands that I’d be happy to see live. I’ve been able to see a few concerts but they have always been the bands that my ex husband or boyfriend wanted to see. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to see them also, but there are artists that I’d like to see that my guy won’t go to. My daughter is getting old enough though so maybe she’ll start going with me.

What’s the Difference Between a Limo and a Fancy Car?

Well, for one thing a limo is much more than just a high priced car with all the bells and whistles. A true limo has been customized in several ways. Some limos are way over the top while most are just stretched or have added seating inside.

One main difference is that a limo will have a divider between driver and passengers such as a tinted window or solid divider behind the drivers seat that can be raised and lowered at the passenger’s discretion. Communication is possible between driver and passenger through an intercom or lowering the divider.

Limos are not just for the rich and famous any more. Many business people employ a car and driver to get back and forth to the office or to take clients out for dinner and special events. Many regular people use a limo for special occasions like weddings and proms.

My Uncle, the Tipster

My uncle goes to the horse track once a week, every week. He’s only missed one time and that was for the birth of cousin.

My aunt says he is addicted but only when he isn’t winning. I don’t know where he gets his horse racing tips, but he really does well most of the time and has been able to pay for quite a few extras over the years.

I’ve often wondered why he isn’t a horse racing tipster himself. After years and years of experience on the track, he could certainly share a thing or two about racing tips. He loves his day job though, and wouldn’t dream of giving up his business.

He was able to pay off their flat and buy a summer home in the country where we all stay for several weeks in the off season. While it isn’t something I’ve been interested in, he certainly has made a life of it.

Special Grandpa

My dad is the type of person who likes to tinker. He can usually be found in his shop building some kinds of gadgets and gizmos for his grandchildren. He is extremely creative and he always seems to be able to build something out of a pile of rubbish.

He built a motorized canoe out of old washing machine parts and he built my son a ride on train using black stovepipe. I think it is great that the kids will have these “treasures” that were made just for them by Grandpa with love.

My son loves to hang out with his grandpa in the shop. One day they built a wooden airplane that could really fly and Josh had a blast with it. It was so special to him because it was something that he had created himself and he took such pride in it.

The kids are lucky to have such a wonderful grandpa and I think that one day they will realize just how special he is.
